Everybody wants to know what is being drilled. Now you can see for yourself.

People often think that more balls are drilled on challenging environments but in reality we usually drill more balls on weeks that the scoring pace is higher. When the scoring pace is lower and a bowler is using a ball they don't know, how can they know whether it is the lane, the bowler. or the ball? It is wiser to use a ball in your arsenal that you know on more challenging conditions so you are less confused on the lane.

When the scoring pace is higher getting to the pocket is not much of a secret and bowlers are looking for the carry edge. Bowlers tend to stress more under these conditions and look for the magic ball more often.

This week in Cheektowaga falls into the higher scoring pace category and bowlers were wanting to drill. You aren't seeing pictures here because I didn't have many balls to choose from. By this time of the season the staff has a pretty complete arsenal so we are able to choose between a pretty large selection already. The other issue is availability. The popularity of the Brunswick line is creating a back order situation that we have to deal with just like every body else.

We drilled a few balls but not enough to set up the stage.
