Round of 8.
Norm Duke vs
Tim Criss
Patrick and Steve
looked lost in their match ups and Wes
really amazed the crowd with his ability to
miss so many easy spares. I don't mean to
rag on Wes but it really stood out this week
that he is struggling with parts of his
game.

Insider Information from the Round of 8
with Rick Benoit
Norm looked to be the strongest and through 2 games it
didn't look like he would ever miss. Tim made things
happen using angles on the lane in a way that most
bowlers saw very quick and dramatic transitions. His
speed/rev ration gave him that special trick that only a
few could create.
The match turned into a strike fest until the lanes
began to transition again. That is what is so special
about this format. You can see and feel the emotions
sway back and forth. You can sense the frustration and
concern. Strategy and skills unfold in front of you as
the players search for the right match up.
This is the first time all week that I saw Steve
confused and struggle to find the right match up. Mike
continued his strong showing and I am a little
disappointed in myself for not watching more of what he
was doing.
