The scoring pace was much lower in this match than expected as both Mike and Tony struggled. This may have been a missed opportunity for Tony as it was the first sign of vulnerability for Mike.

This match started out like I thought it would but I surprised to see Doug struggle late. The loser of each game seemed to be highlighted by a key open in the lower scoring games. Game seven was highlighted by an open in the 7th frame by Doug, giving up his  10 pin lead that proved to be the difference in the 206-204 victory for Tommy D.

Both bowlers had a good look but Mike's ability to play the outside part of the lane and ability to follow the breakdown transition by maintaining his angles and ball down proved to be the better choice. This was a match that was won not because Pete bowled bad it was won because Mike had a great game plan, was not fooled by transition and bowled awesome.

This was not a good draw for Ritchie has the natural match-up for Patrick was too much to overcome.

Shafer really impressed me in this match as I would have favored Michael's match-up and the part of the lane he was playing over Ryan's. Ryan did a great job of following transition.

The match started as I expected but felt the part of the lane they were playing would favor Mika. The lanes played a little tighter down lane and the right lane had issues down lane. The ball would actually go airborne as it entered in the pin deck. Jack has naturally slower speed and lower rev rate. With the oil down lane it was a better match-up. When Mika slowed down the ball over hooked for Mika forcing him left and the last thing he wanted to do was open up his angles. The ability to use firmer speed had been an advantage Mika was able to take advantage of to maintain his angles. But his ball choice was seeing too much oil down lane. When he made a ball change the ball jumped off the dry to hard. He was forced to open up his angles and that was not a good match-up for a bowler with firm speed. Jack bowled great with the quick start of 241-262-246 he had the cushion he needed to find a reaction during Mika's transition. Mika again got caught with too strong of a reaction and the lane breaking down in game 6. Jack jumped all over him with a ball and zone change that was too much to overcome. A 269-202 victory in game 6 was the end for Mika. The difference proved to be the early game challenges that Mika did not match up to.

The way Chris's ball reads early friction is the reason Chris had the ability to connect strikes and was the key in this victory. Wes would have to make more and faster moves than Chris while Chris was able to stay in the same spot longer. It may not sound like much but when the difference in the match is carry that extra frame is very valuable.

Michael was just another sacrificial lamb in Michaels romp through the field. The only hope Michael F. was for Michael M. to loose his look or see transitions he had not had to deal with yet. That was not the case and Michael M ran over Michael F. in 4 games.
