This was a match that was decided when Eugene moved off of what he had in Games 1 and 2. Eugene had a great look with his Ultimate Inferno flaming it up the gutter, he decided to move way left and try to throw the same ball at the gutter. Don't ask me why...I could never explain some of the things Eugene does. He seems to go from one extreme to another a lot. I wanted to throw something at him to see if I could knock some sense in him. After giving three games to Bill he went back right and made a ball change to the Vapor Zone he had used to sweep Couch. But it was too little to late. Why he made such a drastic move after going 267 and 277 in games one and two. Now you know why he is not exempt. Great talent with some strategy issues.

It finally caught up with Joe. I didn't think Joe was matched up as well as he should be but he kept proving me wrong. DeVaney on the other hand seems to be much more comfortable with each round.

Tony lost the ability to stay left of his opponent in this match. He looked strong early but Wes can make transition pretty tough on the lower rev rates.

This was a match of confused bowlers. Neither one seemed in control of breakdown. Games 3 and 4 is where the match was decided. A one pin victory in game 3 and another win in game 4 with a 183 game is a real back breaker.

Two lefties on a pair and seven games is fun to watch because you get to see the wheels turn as they deal with a different breakdown transition. It was obvious Chris struggled more than Rick

Dave struggled in the first three games this set he only had one 260 or better when he had been averaging over 260 the first three games of every set. But Mike's look wasn't as good has it had been either so we will have to give some of the credit to the pair. Dave did manage a 268 late in the match after going to a Classic Zone.

Chrissy won this match 4 games to 2 because Leslie lost her look in game 5. The match was going back and forth game after game. Two one pin games. Leslie won game 3 and Chrissy won game 5 by one. My guess is Leslie got tired after all she is several months pregnant with her and her husband Parkers baby.

This is always an entertaining match as both of these players know each others games and have the greatest respect for one another. This is one occasion that Mike had the breakdown advantage.
