On Paper this is suppose to be one of the greatest matches of the year, and it might be. But watching Pete bowl I have to tell you he has not been at the top of his game. He goes through streaks of bowling well but he has not been the creative, repetitive machine that he can be. Tommy on the other hand, has been the most intimidating bowler on tour for the last year. His roll always matches up and he just doesn't seem to bowl bad. He is matching up to the way every the pattern and match breaks down. This is like the Indianapolis Colts playing the New England Patriots right now. Tommy is scary good and Pete has the reputation and expectation of a Super Bowl Champion. The most interesting point in this match will be how well Pete bowls. Timing and control of his release have been the biggest issues.

This matchup is always good on paper but it was made even more interesting by the actions that took place in the Round of Eight. Ryan is one that speaks his mind and his not too concerned about who he is talking to. He has a way of getting his point across in an aggressive manor. In the process he may have hit a few nerves Friday night. To find out more about Friday night refer to the Ryan Shafer vs Norm Duke match in the round of 8. Brad is back to bowling well and making good decisions. It will be interesting to watch the intensity of this match. Brad is anxious to let out his natural intensity which can be quite aggressive and we have already seen Ryan's. Neither one of these two will back down from a confrontation. If the situation presents itself this could be one worth listening to. Especially if it is a close one. The bowlers tend to feed off of the fans and as riled up as the fans got on Friday night with Ryan this match could become very intense.

The intense possibilities of this show never materialized because the conditions were quite challenging. The shear number of shots thrown around 20 during practice forced the bowlers deep very quickly. It didn't surprise me that they started as deep as they did but I really felt that the scoring pace would have been higher. There were some strikes being thrown during practice but nothing seemed defined enough to think any one particular bowler had an advantage. The areas the bowlers had attacked all week were still there but the consistency of the breakpoint was not there. This
