A couple games could have gone the other way but it was
obvious who had the better look. I was surprised Chris
didn't like what he saw. But something wasn't right even
in practice.
Neither bowler looked real comfortable with their look
for the first three games. Tommy won two of those games.
And by the time Jason got going in game five it was too
late.
Three games of this low scoring affair were very close
so the sweep was not total domination. Paul was just
totally caught off guard. He was trapped with no place
to go. I had looked in his bag before the match and
could tell he was going to struggle. Pete doesn't have a
great look either.
What a great match this was. Amleto looked in total
command because Scroggs didn't have much. Down 1-3 in
game 5 the tide turned and now Amleto was the one that
was lost. His biggest down fall is when he chooses a
ball that hooks more than the others and gets trapped
trying to use angles that don't match up. He is bowling
great but needs to monitor that. Once he gets that under
control you will see him on the show again. He is bowing
that good.
The difference in this match was the close games. Both
of them went to Tom. Tom is doing a very good job of
keeping his angles matched up. Parker seemed to have a
good look only to get caught trying to find the right
moves during transition. He is getting it figured out
now it just needs to happen faster.
BV shot noting under 250 again. He is the most
intimidating bowler in match-play. Nobody is able to
stay in the same zone as he is. Pat looked OK but
against BV he had no chance.
