Brad's Arsenal

If you were to try and describe Brad in one word that word would have to be Passion. Brad's involvement in the sport of bowling goes further than just being good. His greatest attribute as a bowler is his feel. Feel is a lost art amongst many bowlers of today, but not with Brad. With all the confusion and variables of today's game, bowlers spend a lot of time thinking about their "match-up" by focusing on changing balls, layouts, surfaces or angles. Not to minimize the importance of matching up, Brad goes one step further by going one step back. Feel is the ability to manipulate ball reaction by telling your hand and feet to do something that will allow you to see your ball do what you want to see it do. You old timers know what I am talking about. I can try and explain how and why Brad is so special in this area but it would only be a guess. But what the heck that is what feel is all about.

I have had the opportunity to meet some of Brad's family, his Dad Nin and, his wife Michelle come to mind. Brad's dad is a great bowler in his own right (a member of 4 hall of fames). A passion and respect for the game is present, You can see it by just watching him at one of the tour sites. He is there to watch his son, but he sees so much more. It is a pleasure to just listen to him, you can tell he has been there and done that. His respect for the talents of others can be seen even though he has the same winning desires that he passed down to his son.

If you were to sit down and talk with Brad for any length of time you will find that Brad will eventually bring up his wife, Michelle. I often wondered how so many  conversations could lead to his wife... then I met her. I used the word "passion" to define Brad. Well I use the word "Michelle" to define passion. You know where you belong after you have spent a little time with her. She knows how to be supportive when she needs to be and she is strong enough to stand her ground when she has too.

You may have read the last two paragraphs and thought you want to know more about Brad not his family.

Impossible.
