| I can't write about accomplishments or
performance records because there are none. I am
fortunate, blessed and happy to be doing what I love for
a living. Helping others reach their goals and dreams.
Sure I wanted to be an athlete and many felt I had what
it took but I did not get the satisfaction from my own
accomplishments that I get out of helping others.
I am often asked about my job with Brunswick. The
official title is "Tour Rep" I accept that title but
prefer to use the simple term coach. Tour or Ball Rep
sounds like you are out pushing product. I don't see my
job as promoting product. I see my job as promoting
Brunswick and their desires to grow the sport of
bowling. The industry will grow parallel to the sport.
Brunswick is the place to be if you want to be involved
in the growth of the sport and industry. They are much
more than just a ball manufacturer.
As far as my week to week responsibilities on tour. I
manage Brunswick concerns, pro staff concerns,
inventory, and assist with bowler development whether
that is at the physical, mental or strategic level. The
only common denominator about my week to week job on
tour is at the end of every week I feel down. Only one
can win and whether that is one of my guys or not there
are still more that did not. At the end of each week I
challenge myself to ask what could I have done different
and would it have worked out better. As long as the
answer is yes I have room for improvement. |
