The truck team is in charge
of drilling the bowling balls for the professionals on tour,
they put together the room where the pros work out the balls
after they have been drilled. They also transport the
equipment and different other things.
Keith Brovald is from Reno,
he has been working on the truck for 10 years. He use to be
a bowler but does not practice any more. Mike McManan from
Portland, Oregon is not an active bowler either. On the
other hand RJ Proige from Connecticut will go to tour trials
this summer. They all agree that the bad thing about working
on the truck is that there is not a tour stop in
Hawaii...Plus the packing and unpacking they go through
every week.
The truck team flies from
city of the tour season while a different company will drive
the trucks to the next tour stop. They get to the bowling
center before the tournament begins set every thing up and
get ready to drill approximately 147 bowling balls during
each tournament.
The biggest difference
between the national tour and the senior tour is in how they
tip. The seniors are much more gracious than the guys who
bowl for a living.
