Featured Ball of the Week

There is only one ball that deserves to be the featured ball of the week and that is the one Joy Esterson threw all week long.

Joy Esterson's Pearl Fury

Joy bowled absolutely amazing. What a beautiful arm-swing and release she has developed. The ball Joy used was a Pearl Fury for which I do not have a picture for just yet. I will be sure to get it the week of Merrillville and post it on here.(done) The ball was drilled by her pro shop operator back home his name is Mike Sinek. Mike works at Sports Plus Pro Shop in Alexandria, Virginia. Mike is on the Roto Grip Amateur staff. I think I should let Joy tell the story about Mike, so I will get her to help me out when I catch up with her in Merrillville.

What Joy likes about Mike is that he takes the time to learn her game, look at her arsenal, discuss layouts, ball reaction, and surface tweaks. Mike and Joy have bowled leagues together for several years but just recently started working together with Joy's arsenal. Mike and Joy are bowling together in a PBA Sports league.

The only think I have done with Joy is clean up her physical and mental game and add a few balls to her arsenal.

Getting to know Joy has been a real pleasure, she is 27 years old and from Annapolis, Maryland. Joy bowled for Morehead State University from 1998 to 2002. During that time the won 2 National Championships

Joy was a second team All-American In 2002. Joy started the first block with 847 for the first time.
