There were only 5 balls drilled up for the week. The shelves were
full of balls that did not make sense to me. I drilled a couple
balls for PJ because he changed his specs. He is going to start
using grips now. I drilled some balls 4 total for Matt Friberg is
going to change to 16 lbs and needs some help. The kid has talent
but can't seem to get the job done. I haven't watched much of him
lately but will do so in the coming weeks. Drilled two balls for
Steve Rogers who was looking for something different than I was. I
wanted him to shut down the lane and he kept trying to open it up. I
drilled a couple balls that would allow him to slow down and stay
square but he chose a different direction. I drilled a Solid Fury
for Tom Baker and Stevie Weber to see if it would give them a better
look on the fresh. The scoring pace is so low that you never know if
it is the ball or you and neither of those tow bowlers have enough
faith in the Solid Fury to keep using it under those conditions.
Overall it was a very frustrating week. I knew I wasn't going to
have balls to work with but thought the lower scoring pace would
make everything alright for the talent of the staff. I am sure
everyone of them would tell you they blame themselves just like I
blame myself. Oh well lets get to Medford and hope the balls show up
there.
