About Chuck
Chuck Gardner has been in and
around bowling for 25+ years. As of January 29, 2007 he
accepted a full time position with Brunswick as the
Southeastern Product Specialist. Chuck is extremely excited
to be part of the Number 1 team in the bowling industry and
looks forward to many successful years with Brunswick.
Chuck’s primary responsibility is to make sure the pro shops
in his territory have access to the latest and greatest
bowling equipment in the industry.
Prior to this Chuck was the Director of Coaching and
Tour Support for Columbia Industries. In this position Chuck
traveled with the National PBA Tour providing both coaching
and technical support to the PBA Tour Players. He also held
coaching clinics throughout the United States, Canada and
Europe. Chuck began his tenure with Columbia Industries in
November 2001 where initially he was both a Tour Staff
Player and Tour Representative. He served as the East Coast
Sales Manager until May of 2005 when he accepted the
Director of Coaching and Tour Support position.
He was named one of the Top 100 Bowling Coaches by
Bowlers Journal International in July 2005. Chuck is a
Silver Level Coach with USBC and enjoys helping people
improve their game, no matter what their level. He has been
a PBA member for approximately 20 years, retiring from the
National PBA Tour in November of 2002. He still occasionally
frequents the PBA Southern Region Tour. Chuck is the former
Director of Pro Shop Operations for AMF Bowling and owned
his own 32 lane family recreation center in Franklin, VA for
about 7 years, selling the center in 1998.
He currently resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife
Deborah and a Ruby Macaw, Rainbow. He has a 30 year old
daughter, Vicki, who lives in Charleston, SC and a 24 year
old son, Chuck II, who lives in West Palm Beach, FL. Chuck’s
idea of relaxing includes sporting events (almost all of
them) or finding an exotic island, free of hustle, bustle &
telephones.
